Overview
This itinerary is built around one goal: to immerse you in the heart of the Great Migration. Whether it’s calving season in the south, dramatic river crossings in the north, or rutting season in the west, your campsite and daily drives are positioned strategically to maximize sightings.
Day 1 – Arrival in Arusha
Meet your safari guide and relax at a charming lodge tucked among coffee fields. Enjoy a welcome dinner and pre-safari briefing.
Overnight: Boutique lodge near Arusha.
Day 2 – Fly to Migration Zone & Afternoon Safari
Fly to your seasonal camp in the migration area — Ndutu (Dec–Mar), Central (Apr–May), Western Corridor (June), or Northern Serengeti (July–Oct). Settle into camp, enjoy lunch, and head out for your first migration game drive. Expect massive herds, predators shadowing the wildebeest, and stunning landscapes.
Overnight: Migration-tuned tented camp.
Days 3–5 – The Great Migration
Spend three full days exploring migration routes with experienced guides who know how to read the movement of the herds. Highlights may include:
- River crossings on the Mara River
- Predator encounters with lions, cheetahs, leopards
- Newborn calves during birthing season
- Hundreds of thousands of wildebeest and zebra
- Surreal, thundering herds stretching to the horizon
Optional activities include balloon safaris, sundowners on the plains, and photographic sessions.
Day 6 – Ngorongoro Highlands
Depart the Serengeti and travel to the Ngorongoro highlands. Enjoy cool mountain air, crater views, and an evening around a fireplace.

Day 7 – Crater Tour & Departure
Descend into Ngorongoro Crater for a half-day game drive — the perfect finale with chances to spot rhinos, lions, hyenas, elephants, and hippos. After lunch, return to Arusha for departure.
